Do any regulars sense that the Guns Forum may be watched more around the nation as a bellwether of what Democrats think, and for assessing the fortunes of gun-control groups?

15. Only for the topic forums. They get lots less traffic than the

main forums, like GD and even The Lounge. Lots less. I'm afraid you have an exaggerated view of the gungeon, as compared to other forums on DU. Really.

I don't see a way to view the number of posts for GD, though. Still, with something like 48,750,000 posts total for DU, your 289 something thousand for the gungeon isn't going to stack very high in a bar graph of the site. Heck, even the Religion/Theology forum has almost as many, and nobody goes there.

5. I believe that is only true among the Topic forums.

If you included General Discussion, GD:P, and The Lounge, I believe you'd find that the Guns topic is much further down the list, and that the number of posts in GD is exponentially higher than in the Guns topic.

And, it's just #3 in the Topics Forum. Not as prominent as you might think.

It derives from the practice of putting a bell around the neck of a castrated ram (wether) so that the rest of the flock could hear it at night and follow the wether. So, I guess you're sorta saying that the gungeon is like a castrated ram. Hmmm....Isn't knowledge fun to have?
