MARIJUANA BUS ADS CAUSE CUTS
WASHINGTON -- Rep. Ernest Istook has sliced the budget of the Washington transit authority by more than $90,000 because of ads placed on local buses promoting the legalization of marijuana. Istook, R-Warr Acres, sent a letter Nov. 10 to the chairman of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority saying that members of Congress and senior Bush administration officials had complained about the ads.

4. What do
they have against the first amendment? Using the exercise of free speech to justify funding cuts would appear to be using taxpayer money to stifle political discourse. This is not the free market of ideas.

He didnt lighten the drug laws a bit. Thats the main reason i voted for him, i thought he might try and fix things. I was thinking; its his final term, he will go out in a blaze of glory and fix the war on drugs Instead all i remember him doing was giving presidential pardons to some connected criminals. Pissed me off. Dont think the war on drugs is a republican thing, cause its a bi-partisan effort.

5. I like how...
...the rich people who make Marijuana illegal claim we dont need it for medicial purposes because "we already have plenty of effect painkilling medicines." :eyes:

How much do those medicines cost compared to what legalized marijauana would cost.
