DENVER (CBS4) ―
A Denver police officer has been suspended after allegedly brandishing his gun at a McDonald's restaurant in Aurora after his order took too long to fill.

Wow. Some people just should not be allowed to carry guns.

2. I don't own a gun, but many's the time I'd have been tempted
to do the same thing if I did.

Hope he at least got his Happy Meal after brandishing his piece.:)

14. I knew a guy who tried to...
rob a drive thru bank that way. He was waving his gun out the window threatening to shoot the teller if she didn't give him all the money. Everyone in the bank, after locking the doors, just stood and laughed. Dummy eventually fired a shot and then drove off. He made it two blocks before getting arrested.

Some people are indeed morons. You can't outlaw stupid.

15. I find this part particularly disturbing.
________________________________________________
The male clerk then said one of the officer's flashed his police badge and pointed a pistol through the drive through window in a threatening manner, before driving off without paying.

That would appear to meet the definition of armed robbery.

17. Everyone knows what to do if/when it takes too long to get your order
Go inside and take a fat shit on the ground in the bathroom.

I'll never go to Checkers/Rallys. They screwed up every possible aspect of my drive through order once.
1. Tried to charge wrong amount
2. Gave me the wrong food bag
3. Drink machine ran out of syrup, they gave us cups of plain soda water
4. Took order incorrectly
5. When we got correct food bag it didn't match either the incorrect order or what we ordered
6. It took 45 mins, and we where the only people in line
7. Food was incorrectly prepared

All that and I didn't wave a gun at them. This police officer needs to be fired.

19. We have a half KFC/half Taco Bell that I could see this happening at.
I could totally see that happening at our local half KFC/half Taco Bell. They are constantly screwing up orders. And to top it off, they rarely make white gravy; which is more annoying than just saying they won't make it at all. But instead of just coming out and saying "we're only making brown gravy here, so all you white gravy lovers...FUCK YOU!!!", they make it every once in a blue moon....which means they have the means to make it, but are too damned lazy to make it. And that's not it. Even on the very rare occassion that you are lucky enough to walk in when they are making white gravy, if you order white gravy on your mashed potatoes, and then order a side of extra gravy, they are too stupid to realize that since you ordered white gravy on the potatoes, that it's obvious the side should be white gravy. Nope, they'll give you a side of brown gravy unless you specifically say white. You literally have to treat them like children and speak slowly and loudly, and then check your order right in front of them. I guess this half KFC has something against white gravy.

20.  Both should be arrested.
The one that flashed his badge and gun should be arrested for felony theft, and his associate should be charged for aiding and abetting the felony, in itself a felony. And both should be removed from the force for STUPIDITY!!!

But they are cops and will get a slap on the wrist and 30 days off with pay.:sarcasm:

21. Working as a police officer has become so dangerous...
that all too often it's had to find good people to do the job.

That's not my opinion, but the opinion of several retired police officers I know. They are glad that they made it to retirement.

I have a lot of respect for the officers I know that are still in the force. Almost all are very dedicated individuals who exercise good judgment in their job. Irregardless, it's an occupation that I would avoid if I was a young man. It's often thankless and in our society it is often very stressful and could easily lead to a short tragic life.

22. At a McDonald's?
There's nothing in a McDonald's worth pulling a gun over. Now if it was a good rib shack, maybe...

Seriously though, they need to pay cops better and provide adequate stress support. It's a tough job.
