Concealed weapons permit holder stops would-be robbers
http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=6851011

MIDVALE -- A man with a concealed weapons permit stopped two would-be Midvale robbers from making off with his friend's stuff.

I don't get it. I've read many times here in the Gungeon that this doesn't happen?!

1. I think your getting it mixed up.
If an unarmed person has a permit he can stop a crime. Thats why many liberals support gun regulation.

It is people with guns, with or without permits, that never stop crime.

Joke based on the form of your comment. :)

7. I agree completely
By firing (even a warning shot) you have employed deadly force. It is but for the discretion of the prosecute that this is not prosecuted. Fortunately some have some sense about them.

5. I think it is under-reported....
There was a man in Texas in the last few years who died stopping a shooting at a Texas courthouse. He had a license and was considered a hero. That was all over the news in Dallas but I can't quickly find it in google (sorry, at work). In my gun glass we heard about an incident at a restaurant where a women was being attacked in the parking lot and the instructor of the class (licensed) was able to stop the incident and hold the man til police arrived to arrest him.

6. It's VERY under reported as it does not meet with the established
template/stereotype.

8. In them minds of the Antis, it never happens.
Guns are evil, evil and more evil. They are responsible for crime and death and certainly not preventing them.

10. So you agree they are commonplace and a valid reason for private possession of firearms, nice to see
you finally come around.

13. And I didn't say I had

Can you really not read?

You "replied" to a post I addressed to someone else.

Your "reply" is uninteresting.

I am waiting for what I asked for, from the person I asked for it, your post having been a mosquito in my path.

Your mind at rest now?
