Interesting comments from progunprogressive re: neighborhood problems...
Scroll to "Change Haters" and see how the internet figures into whoring connections, and identification of those resisting both violent crime and neighborhood degradation. Another chapter in Baltimore's crimino-centric saga.

1. gee

I'm not going to the site linked from there, but I've long been one of those "people ... reclaiming their own neighborhoods" from the pimps and dealers and johns. We get some good johns around here. Famous doctors, chamber of commerce officials ...

And still I don't get no respect ...

3. What have you done...
"And still I don't get no respect ..."

What have you done to earn it?

4. it was a very short post

but I'll repeat it for you:

I've long been one of those "people ... reclaiming their own neighborhoods" from the pimps and dealers and johns.

Just like the woman being praised to the skies in the entry cited. Or didn't you bother reading it?

But I like the first answer better. The very vitriol on display is the true sign of respect.

6. We reclaimed our old neighborhood from the thugs.....
We had the highest crime rate in the county. We organized a neighborhood watch which the volunteers were encouraged to get their concealed handgun permits and use them. After two months, we had the lowest crime rate the county. I don't know how things are going there now as we've moved since then. But when the bad guys found out we were armed, their attitudes changed dramatically.
