Luckily, the attacker didn't shoot the police chief, or else he might be dead. This is just another example of why we don't advocate strict regulation of baseball bats, knives, or sticks and stones. It's because those objects aren't very efficient at killing people. Guns, however, are very efficient killing machines (as the cop demonstrated). That's why we DO promote strict regulation of guns.
