1. They should pass some MORE gun control!!
After all, it seems to work SO WELL......

:sarcasm:

O well....I hate it for them. But they GOT, just what they wanted when they passed all that silly legislation...

2. Hmmm...
Perhaps a Brit's survival requires just a little more these days than just a
stiff upper lip. Where are all those old Webleys when you need one?

3. Those...
...criminals in Britain just need a good talking to, by golly, to remind them that guns are illegal.

7. What was really interesting...
Was reading the responses of the British subjects to this article. Seems they don't
have much trust in their government either. Governments the world over protect themselves
first, their people second. At least here we're still allowed to own the weapons that
such protection requires(so far that is).

I don't know anything about The Daily Mail - I just picked the article up off of www.digg.com

10. Does a right-wing rag mean false to you & left-wing rag mean true? What if both say the same thing?

12. I've been buying the Guardian (a very tory paper) and the Independent
Which is a very liberal paper on a regular basis. Those two are quite sensible papers. I have not seen one article about the BBC presenter being attacked by a gun.

The Daily Mail is up there with the Sun. Sensationalist trash.

6. They were filming, yet there are no pictures shown
of this alleged gun pointing at her face. I wonder ...

Nah. Reporters don't just "make things up", do they?

8. It's impossible to know whether or not the alleged gun was real
A country can ban handguns outright and still have a handgun violence problem. In the UK the ban provides no meaningful assurance that a gunlike object is not in fact a gun, because there are some real guns on the black market, being created in clandestine shops or smuggled in from other countries. If someone points at you something that appears to be a gun, you have no logical choice but to act as if your life is really in danger.

11. I've shot in matches with members of UK's shooting teams. Their comments re UK's gun ban are not
favorable. :grr: :nuke:
