Fallujah war crimes! Aussie TV shows what you ain't seein on Murkin TV
video:
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/video1043.htm

& text excerpt (from same link): While watching Lateline on Australian ABC television there was a report from Fallujah. In the story they showed a marine saying, "I've just injured one, he's between the two buildings". At that moment another marine walks over to the gap between the two houses, he then climbs on a forty four gallon drum aims his gun at the injured Iraqi and fires one shot.

The marine then climbs back down saying, "He's done".

Evidence of a war crime right there on my screen, evidence that America takes no prisoners, evidence of a horrendous act condoned by my country.

How did we become as bad as this, when did the coalition forces become terrorist themselves.

Very chilling. Why isn't our media showing this kind of stuff? To watch our tv and cable, one would suspect that the major news story of the century is Scott Peterson.

1. American media
Toothless, nay, gumless creatures, all of them.

After the Washington Post was so heroic in the breaking of the Watergate story, the publishing of the Pentagon Papers, and now they run long articles apologizing for having back the invasion of Iraq because they "just didn't know."

Well, goddamn, if I FUCKING KNEW, how come the Washington Post, NY TImes, and everyone else believed that WMD bullshit?

I get my news from the bbc.com site, mostly. And the guardian and other Brit outlets.

2. I consider the US media just propaganda mouth pieces

for the bushies.

I turned off my TV -- and rely on International news sources -- like the BBC. Even then I like to read several sources -- just in case Blair has managed to neuter the UK media.

We are getting taste of what people living behind the iron curtain and bamboo curtain must have felt like just a few years ago.

What do you want to bet that shortly the whore media will have "warm and fuzzy" stories about "helping" the people "rebuild" -- as if what happened was an earthquake -- not the blood thristy Yanks. Then those who watch that crap will hear the "troops" complain that the ungrateful people just want them to go away.

3. Why are people still using realplayer?
I really want to see/save this and I can't.

If anyone has a way for me to access the file WITHOUT having to watch it through a browser-integrated plugin, please let me know.

4. Whose apology is more notorious and god-awful?
The apology from the RPNs (Republican Corporate Networks) for the 2000 election debacle.

OR?

The media for not 'knowing' about the war. 2004

It all points to one thing - there is an allusion that the people of the United States matter while in reality we are being taken over (if we don't educate ourselves and stop it).

Most of their so-called investigative reporters put their feet up on something while they sit at their desk except when they happen to turn around to retrieve a file from their cabinet or when their shoes touch the ground on the way to the bar - where they share investigative work with a martini. That's what it seems like from here.

With exceptions - those who investigated the Niger-Israel-Italy-US fraud case over WMDs. They were great investigators.

Have I told you good-bye yet, Tom? Sorry, I won't miss you. Hope you answer a question before you're retire - are there any lies in your books?

6. Why is this a war crime?
I saw no evidence the Iraqi was trying to surrender. (To be fair, I also saw no evidence he was a civilian - but neither did the article allege any - if he was a noncombatant, then this was criminal behavior.) We do not have an affirmative duty to try to capture enemy combatants, barring a deliberate surrender on their part.

It appears to be an attempt to show the military in a bad light by pointing out that they kill people. Yet, that's their main purpose.

7. This wasn't a war crime, and anyone who thinks it is as bad as beheading

hostages is a moral idiot.

NOTE: This is not the same footage that NBC showed. It is an entirely different incident.

8. Jesus said
"For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. <3> Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops." Luke 12:1-3

So could he have been talking about digital photography and the internet??

I think a lot of this terrible stuff has always gone on, just now, with the technology it is harder to hide and we have to deal with it.
War sucks. It dehumanizes people. That's why it should be the last resort and for a good cause. We shouldn't do it for reasons of pride and base the rationale on lies.

10. Did they show
this guy trying to surrender? maybe he was still shooting? As liberals, I do not think that we should rush to judgment on these incidents. It may be a war crime, in which case the soldier should be punished. It may not be a war crime. Without all available facts, if we leap to judgment, how do we differ from the FReepers??
