Woman maimed by mine while collecting food

Ziguinchor - A woman had to have her left leg amputated after she stepped on a landmine in southern Senegal's Casamance region, hospital sources said.

The woman had left the village of Mpack, 18km outside Casamance's main city Ziguinchor, to collect cashew nuts in the bush, the sources said.
