Banker 'tortured' to death - Angola
New Delhi - A leading Indian banker has been found killed in his luxury hotel suite in the Angolan capital, Luanda, a newspaper report said on Thursday.

Aswhini Puri, 68, head of Lord Krishna Bank, was found on Wednesday in his hotel suite with severe torture wounds and his hands and legs tied, a report in The Indian Express newspaper said.

Puri had recently set up a factory in Luanda in collaboration with the Angolan government to make leather boots and shoes for the Angolan military, the report said.

The new factory was one of the first major Indian business ventures in Angola where a civil war ended nearly two years ago.
