Murder, rape planned - SA

Pretoria - A police spy who allegedly infiltrated the Boeremag's inner circle claimed on Thursday that two of the accused had planned to have a man assassinated and the victim's wife and daughter raped.

Police informer Johan Smit made this claim during cross-examination by Louisa van der Walt, counsel for two of the accused.

When Van der Walt put it to Smit that the accused Rooikoos du Plessis and Adriaan van Wyk had only met each other for the first time at the bail application of a rightwinger facing firearm-related charges, Smit was adamant that they had known each other long before then.

He said there was another case in which the two accused and two other men planned to have a certain Blackie or Barry Swart murdered and his wife and daughter raped.
