Okay, an issue was made about how many of the candidates in Iraq were literally unknown to the voters until the last few days.

A point was noted that some of these resorted to "Internet" campaigning, which "most of the Iraqis don't have access to", according to some reports.

So, with that little tidbit in mind,

How does us posting on a website encourage the bad guys in Iraq? They "don't have internet access"!

2. Well, they do have internet cafes

and the Iraqis are by an large an educated population, since higher education was free to anyone who had the talent and inclination.

Consider Riverbend's postings, and Salam Pax, before he decided to disappear.

However, if the postings on this and other left and/or antiwar forums are having any effect, it's to convince the educated Iraqis who can read English that all Americans haven't gone completely crazy, and that they do have friends here who hope that war comes to a close very quickly, and that Bush's imperial ambitions are relegated to his drunken dreams.
