Dimson Tries to Plug In Hydrogen Car; Almost Blows Self Up
How did I miss this?

"Credit Ford Motor Co. CEO Alan Mulally with saving the leader of the free world from self-immolation.

Mulally told journalists at the New York auto show that he intervened to prevent President Bush from plugging an electrical cord into the hydrogen tank of Ford's hydrogen-electric plug-in hybrid at the White House last week. Ford wanted to give the Commander-in-Chief an actual demonstration of the innovative vehicle, so the automaker arranged for an electrical outlet to be installed on the South Lawn and ran a charging cord to the hybrid. However, as Mulally followed Bush out to the car, he noticed someone had left the cord lying at the rear of the vehicle, near the fuel tank."

2. Because it didn't happen.
Apparently, according to later statements by the CEO (as well as the video of the encounter) it never happened, and was just a joke that the CEO of Ford told during the interview, that the reporters took as being absolutely serious.

Though it's a disturbing yardstick that when first told, almost everyone accepts it as being the truth.

4. The CEO was trying to entertain a roomful of people by making stuff up.
He got a laugh, but he should have said, "Just kidding" (he didn't.)

3. The Ford dude is out of his fucking mind..
It was all bullshit.

No electrical input on the hydrogen tank, of course.

5. As stupid as bush is
is it any wonder people wouldn't believe it? The only one out of his mind is that maniac playing President.
