The World Is A Better Place
Edited on Sat Mar-31-07 04:12 PM by BeFree
For Humans > North American Humans > Americans > US Americans.

Our parents used to say: "I just want to leave my kids a better world." And they worked hard at it. And OUR world is better because of it.

Because of their hard work, our little world is better. American ingenuity has transformed the human condition - made it a better world.

For us, but not for them.

Them being the flora and fauna of nature.

The world is not better for the rest of the creatures here amongst us on this little blue ball spinning in the deep dark blackness of space.

I've come to a new realization recently. If we all just quit looking at the signs telling us that the world, overall, is not getting better, then we would have no problem with nuke wastes, air and water pollution, and decreasing diversity.

Sadly, there are too many among us who have quit looking. Sheltered in the cocoon our ancestors weaved, they do not see, and do not want to hear.

Be proud of yourself if you are willing to see and hear. It may just help make the world a better place, after all.
