Industry executives including media mogul Ted Turner and state Board of Public Utilities (BPU) President Jeanne Fox gathered today at Hall’s Warehouse in South Plainfield to mark the start of construction of what is being hailed as the largest combined solar-electric system ever mounted on a company’s roof in the United States.

DT Solar, spun off from Dome Tech Solar of Branchburg with Turner’s help, is providing the combined-1,400 kilowatt (kW) system to Hall’s, a refrigerated storage and motor freight company.

1. AMEN! I'm glad to see increased talk and action on renewable energy.
It isn't much, but it's a start. Minnesota is poised to pass major energy legislation as well that should give a boost to wind energy.
