Ecostream Awarded Major PV Project Contract (60 MW Spain)

Ecostream Spain SL, a subsidiary of Econcern, has been awarded a large solar PV system contract by Globasol, the Madrid-based sustainable energy company. This turnkey system, which will have a total capacity of 14 MW in its first phase, will be designed and built by Ecostream.

Construction of the park will start in September this year and be fully operational in the second quarter of 2007. This project is the first phase of a total generating capacity of 60 MW, which is planned for the province of Murcia.

The ambitious project in the region of Lobosillo - a small city next to Murcia - encompasses 140 solar systems each of which will generate 100 kW.

The first phase will contain over 83,000 solar modules from YingliSolar and TopSolar, quality suppliers in China. Ecostream, a subsidiary of the international Econcern group and well known for its high quality and rapid execution of large projects, will be the turnkey main contractor for this project.
