McCain pumps NUKE energy at mayors convention

On energy, McCain said global warming urgently needs to be addressed, and alternative energy, especially nuclear power, is the answer. "It's clean and it's there," he said. "I understand that there are problems associated with it, but if we're going to address the issue of climate change, part of that resolution to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases has got to be a return to nuclear power."

In France, McCain said, 80 percent of electricity comes from nuclear plants, while Russia is in the process of building 40 new nuclear plants.
