Wind farm supporters target Kennedy's Boston office
http://www.southcoasttoday.com/daily/05-06/05-17-06/07state-region.htm

BOSTON — When members of Sen. Edward Kennedy's staff gazed out the window of his downtown office shortly after noontime yesterday, they saw a unique protest on the red bricks below: About 30 Cape Wind supporters gathered on rain-swept City Hall Plaza, standing in the shape of a wind turbine.

Matt Palmer, the executive director of Clean Power Now, guided the volunteers into position in a steady rain, urging them to hold red, white and blue signs that pictured wind turbines above the word "YES."

In front of them, a large banner that looked up at Kennedy's 24th floor district office declared: "Senator Kennedy is in the dark. Soon we may be too. Cape Wind will keep the lights on."

Kennedy wasn't there to see the protest. He was on the floor of the U.S. Senate in Washington, D.C., guiding debate on an immigration bill.

ISO New England recently announced that NE electricity demand will outstrip supply in the very near future and warned of rolling blackouts during demand spikes.

Mass. and the rest of the region needs this project...
