2. We had a way serious thunderstorm here the other night
At one point I was almost ready to jump in the bathtub.

But what the hey - hurricane season starts in less than 3 weeks...

Tornado threats usually decline after the last of the strong spring cold fronts move through.

After that its Steam-bath Time and knots-in-the-stomach until Thanksgiving...

3. Louisiana and Mississippi are not ready for the next hurricane season.
They just aren't. There's no real organization in the relief efforts. It's piecemeal and scatter-shot if not completely non-existent. There are entire city blocks that have not a soul in them because nobody has been able to fix up the buildings or clear the rubble.

16. Tornado warnings in southern Indiana.
A bit of a surprise. When I went shopping early this evening, the weather radar was clear. I got back and there's some ugly weather popping up. They're saying the cells are losing intensity. Hope they're right, some of the cells are moving towards Louisville.
