Fun Endangered Species Facts
At least 15,580 species of plant and animal are endangered worldwide.

One out of three amphibians are threatened.

One half of freshwater turtles are threatened.

One out of four species of mammals is threatened.

One out of eight species of birds is endangered.

The Conference of the Parties to the Convention Biological Diversity is having it's 8th meeting in Curitiba, Brazil.

2. There are times when I'm glad I'm old...
I don't really want to live in the world of 50 to 100 years from now with no rainforests, no coral reefs, and probably, thanks to the Japanese and Norweigans, no whales, either. How depressing.
