High Levels Of Cadmium, Mercury, Lead In South Australian Dolphins
Research findings of high levels of lead, mercury and cadmium in dolphins from South Australia's Spencer Gulf has led to calls for further test to gauge the effects of pollution on dolphins.

University of Adelaide honours student Nicole Butterfield analysed liver samples of 114 dolphin carcasses. She says levels in those from the Spencer Gulf were the highest in the state.

Ms Butterfield says research now needs to be done on the effect on the animals."
