You may be familiar with the National Solar Tour, sponsored by the American Solar Energy Society (ASES.org), which takes place in various cities around America every year. It leads participants on guided tours of commericial structures, schools and homes in their area which use solar technology to generate electricity and heat water.
Well, despite being in the center of the Sunshine State, Orlando hasn't been a part of the tour in the past. 2005 will change all that! At 9AM on Saturday, October 1 in the beautiful College Park section of Orlando, the Solar Tour will kick off with educational booths and a tour of no fewer than 4 solar-powered facilities within the city limits.
