1. Muse is badass. Like a cross between Queen and Radiohead.
I love their stuff.

3. Wrong 'Muse'
Edited on Thu Aug-04-11 10:33 AM by Cirque du So-What
MUSE is also an acronym for 'Musicians United for Safe Energy' which in my book is practically the polar opposite of the self-serving greed that emanates from practically any one person, any group, or any institution that identifies with the word 'libertarian,' as does the band 'Muse.' If I'm wrong about my assumption, then I'll take my lumps, but as I stated earlier, when Beckerhead endorsed them, it was pretty much a 'kiss of death' as far as interest on my part was concerned. I admit my experience with their music is somewhat limited, but I found We Will Be Victorious reeking of both paranoia and pretension.

4. LOL, you're right- I shouldn't post when sleepy! On Muse, though, when....
...Beck endorsed them, they rejected his endorsement and told him to fuck off. I gotta say, just because someone like Glenn Beck likes a band I like doesn't mean I should not like that band anymore. As to pretension and paranoia that you found in We Will Be Victorious: Muse has the pretension of Queen and the paranoia of Radiohead.

:)

5. Good for them!
I'm still not impressed with what I've heard, but it's heartening that they told Beckerhead to piss off.

2. K & R for MUSE
I would not have been so quick to K & R for the band 'Muse,' however, if only because Clown Blecch endorsed them as 'libertarians' awhile back. In the meantime I haven't followed up on those rumors, but an endorsement from Beckerhead is pretty damned close to a 'kiss of death' in my book.
