Solar-Powered Bikini Charges Electronics

A niche market where nuclear has met its match.

"While it may look like some kind of new cyber geek fetish wear, this panel-clad bikini is actually a way for beachgoers to charge up their electronics using the sun's rays. The brainchild of Brooklyn-based designer Andrew Schneider, the Solar Bikini can juice up iPhones and other small electronics, but remains completely safe to wear in the water. And this isn't just some pie-in-the-sky concept - Schneider is currently accepting custom orders."

1. I would avoid it. Think a stand-a-lone solar charger would be better.

3. So...
You take a garment that intentionally has as small of a surface area as possible, and you place on it something (solar PV's) that requires as LARGE a surface area as possible.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Now, make a solar collecting beach blanket? THAT would rock.

9. Glad to see they're coming up with
solid, practical, every-day uses for solar. Bring it firmly into the mainstream of American life.

10. Glad to see that you are not only posting articles related to...
old *white* guys and their predictable viewpoints... but have now added average-body-type female North Americans into your pluralism.
