It's like Australia wanting to kill their camels for carbon credits. The planet eats too much meat, drives too much and is overpopulated. But no one is going to address any of those three things. Even the people who want to do something about the problem come up with stupid solutions like killing camels. I've lost hope that anything will be fixed.

I'm with you, what you say. People will not give up the things that make the most difference. It's made me afraid of the entire human race.

Losing hope feels sad, but I'm trying to remember to laugh instead of cry. Like the Joni M song says "laughing and crying's the same release".
I'm only 40 though so I have a lot of years left to try to laugh in place of crying.

I'm about your age and one of the things that pisses me off most is that when things get really bad, I'll be too old and frail to defend myself. This is not the old age I was promised and have worked for.
