What is being done with the tar balls and matts that are picked up along the

Gulf's beaches? Can they be recycled in any way?

1. I see hundreds of posts about the tarballs on the beach and no one

knows what is done with them after they are picked up. HMMMM!

and anyone who takes one will feel the Corporation's wrath.

3. Some is going to our local landfill.

Oil contaminated sand, and it's NOT classified as hazmat.
Go figure.

We just don't want it on our beaches and in our water... but you're probably surrounded by the stuff (quite possibly tons of it in your driveway).
