Bad Month For The People Who Write Amory Lovins' Checks: Gas Pipeline Erupts in Texas.

(CNN) -- A 36-inch underground natural gas pipeline exploded into flames Monday in Johnson County, Texas, injuring at least five people before officials were able to shut the flow of gas, officials said.

"Everybody has been accounted for except for one person, and they're trying to account for him," Johnson County Emergency Management Coordinator Jack Snow said.

"There was a crew working on the line, and they apparently ruptured it somehow and caused an explosion," Cleburne City Manager Chester Nolen said.

Nolen originally said that three people had been killed in the blast but later retracted that statement.

Flames were visible eight miles away, he said.

Video showed the site of the fire -- cattle country -- in the center of a patch of scorched grassland. No one was evacuated because no buildings were nearby, Nolen said...

2. Unlike my antagonists here, I have repeatedly called for the phase out of all dangerous fossil fuels
I've been clear on this point for almost a decade here, and I cannot remember a period in my adult life when it has not been so.

I have more than 15,000 posts here. I defy you to find one where I have spoken in defense of dangerous fossil fuels, dangerous fossil fuel war, dangerous fossil fuel terrorism, dangerous fossil fuel economics or dangerous fossil fuel sustainability.

I note however that the dangerous fossil fuel funded anti-nuke industry, of which Lovins is a particularly egregrious example, favor phasing out the world's largest, by far, source of climate change gas free energy and couldn't give a rat's ass about dangerous fossil fuels, for which they are almost all, in my opinion, apologists.

The "gas rocks" link at the bottom of the OP is intended to make the point about the mentality of uneducated, anti-science, anti-nuke dangerous fossil fuel apologists.

The "wind and solar will save us" industry has long functioned as a "bait and switch" mechanism for the dangerous fossil fuel industry. Neither solar nor wind would exist as energy sources without dangerous fossil fuel back up.

Have a nice evening.
