2. Wow that is strange looking
no sign of people other than the streets and buildings.
What we have to guard against is that being repeated here in this country and we've had some pretty close calls of late too, Davis-Besse for one. Most of all our reactors are reaching their designed age and none of them should be relicensed either. If for no other reason than the fact the nuclear power industry will not be honest with us about anything.

3. Davis-Besse was "close to Chernobyl" only if the containment building was stolen or disapeared.

Let me check. Nope still there.

See the containment building (that can shaped thing on left side of photo) that is strong enough to survive artillery strikes, Soviet missiles, and collisions with aircraft. It is also designed to contain release of any radioactive material in the event of a pressure vessel breach.

Other than the minor fact that Chernobyl had no containment and thus reactor breach was exposed to the atmosphere you are spot on.

No scary nuclear reactors in Oklahoma.

Nothing but good, safe, clean, emission free fossil fuels in Oklamhoma.

Sorry I exaggerated. It is ONLY 92% fossil fuels in Oklahoma.

Mmmm smell the particulate death in the air.

The again you guys are only 17th in terms of CO2 intensity. Maybe you could build a couple more safe coal plants and get into the top 10.

I mean 1500 lbs of CO2 per MWh is "good" if you are trying to kill the planet but I think you guys can do better. I mean that is only 50% higher than the national average. Good thing you don't have any low carbon nuclear plants to slow you down.
