Is this administration doing anything useful?

I don't keep up on the news. I don't have TV or radio.
But my biggest hope, by far, was that the Obama administration would get us on the right track environmentally. See, I have this unique theory that without an environment we will all die, and so it is worth protecting.I know, radical.

Well, I am not hearing anything positive about the environment. Am I just not listening in the right places?
Certainly the bush administration would have been willing to do whatever, as long as it is profitable, completely ignoring environmental concerns. I was hoping for something a LOT better.

Bush had 8 years to screw things up, president Obama has only been in office for a year, and the economy has been pretty much the top priority, but all you need to do is a search for his accomplishments at google and you will see he has been very busy. There is no way he could undo the mess Bush made in just on year, it will take some time.

And my computer isn't much better right now. I have it on cell tower,and something is making it drop out all the time now. I may get on cable but it is going to be very expensive.

That's my conclusion at this point. It'll make things easier. Newspapers and the internet are our friends sometimes. Public libraries also have access to a huge number of periodicals. The problem is that the media prefers to tell about political horseraces and scandals. Plenty is being done, but it isn't on the front page of the newspaper and it doesn't compete with world disaster coverage and the economy.
