US Companies "Entitled" To Some Of Iraq's Crude Oil Reserves, Sez Pickens - All That Expense, Y'know
Oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens told the U.S. Congress in Washington yesterday that U.S. energy companies are "entitled" to some of Iraq's crude oil because of the large number of U.S. troops that lost their lives fighting in the country and the U.S. taxpayer money spent in Iraq. Mr. Pickens, speaking to the newly formed Congressional Natural Gas Caucus, complained that the Iraqi government has awarded contracts to foreign companies, particularly Chinese firms, to develop Iraq's vast reserves while U.S. companies have mostly been shut out.

1. What can I say?
*'s murder of our soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's does not entitle US oil companies to *hit! The soldiers paid with their lives and the American people paid with dirty souls as their country waged an immoral war in their name! Not to mention the price that was extorted at the pumps! Get out of town. Why don't you slither on over to China and set up camp?

3. I'm sure Pickens won't mind if I knock down a wall of his house so I can go in to sell his stuff.
It's quite obvious to me that if I've gone to such trouble and taken such a risk I'm entitled to the business.

6. Talk about "a sense of entitlement" ...

> that U.S. energy companies are "entitled" to some of Iraq's crude oil
> because of the large number of U.S. troops that lost their lives fighting
> in the country and the U.S. taxpayer money spent in Iraq.

"Goldarn it! We *paid* for that there foreign oil with the blood of peasants
and the dollars extracted from the poor of this land! How dare they deny us
our profits?"
