Honda reveals (Euro) green car plans

The unprecedented market downturn means that Honda will not be participating in this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. However, that has not stopped it from announcing a number of exciting new green car concepts that are on their way.

Honda will be unleashing two new vehicles - a hybrid based on the CR-Z Concept in 2010; along with a Jazz hybrid which will follow shortly after. Finally, a new research project focusing on fuel cell technologies will begin in Germany.

The research project will involve permanent deployment of the FCX Clarity in Europe - Honda’s hydrogen fuelled, zero-emission vehicle that is currently available to customers in both the USA and Japan. Honda R&D GmbH in Offenbach will use the FCX Clarity for long-term research into both fuel cell technology and hydrogen conformity in Europe.
