Obama energy goal hard to meet: energy secretary
Wed Jan 14, 2009 7:12pm EST

By Tom Doggett

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President-elect Barack Obama will have a hard time significantly increasing America's alternative energy production, outgoing U.S. Energy Secretary Sam Bodman said on Wednesday.

As part of his economic stimulus plan, Obama wants to double output of alternative energy over the next three years.

"I think it's going to be extremely difficult to get there in three years," Bodman said in a final briefing with reporters before he leaves office next week.

Renewable energy sources, which include solar, wind, hydroelectric, geothermal, biofuels and other biomass, accounted for 7 percent of U.S. energy supplies in 2007, according to the Energy Department.

4. One of the things that the *ss administration did not pay attention to
was how many states, cities, companies and individuals have already jump started this issue. President Obama will give them the resources and financing that is needed to carry out their plans.

7. Yet another thing I'm looking forward to about Obama: he's not a whiner.
In addition to being stupid, and a sociopath, and an empty puppet, and the worst president ever, bush was a fucking WATB. Oh, presidenting is hard. It's hard hard work. And everybody misunderestimates me. And history will vindicate me.

Christ, I made it through about 15 seconds of his last press conference, and had to turn it off. He's just such a small, whiny man-child.
