Almost Perfect Wingnuttery: Global Warming's the Ultimate Liberal Conspiracy

Posted by PZ Myers, Pharyngula at 4:10 AM on July 23, 2008.

"If only it had mentioned evolution, it would have been perfect."

How about a little extreme right wing paranoia to compliment your day?

Global warming is the perfect excuse to do what the Left always wanted to do -- to destroy faith (Christianity), the family and freedom. There is no area of our lives that will not be invaded through taxation, control, regulation or obliteration to save the earth.

Read the whole thing -- global warming is the conspiracy that ties together abortion, taxes, communism, and our hatred of little children. If only it had mentioned evolution, it would have been perfect.

Also, it's from a Canadian. It's reassuring to see that the US doesn't have a monopoly on loons. To be fair, though, the replies from other Canadians are scathing.

4. Amen to that.....and in Michigan, we're semi-Canadian anyway.
We've got a bit of the accent, and half the change in our pockets at any given time is Canadian money.

8. this is more proof
to me anyway, this is just more proof that super-religious people are actually super-evil. They really are on the dark side if they believe their comfy consumption is more important than protecting the Earth and all the other species, that their god also created.

I've decided. If humankind burns itself out completely then the religious people will be mostly to blame- Anyone who needed to hold humans separate from the rest of nature, Anyone who sees Heaven as being somewhere else besides Earth.
The churches are already responsible for like BILLIONS of people not using birth control.
