'Significantly Colder' - 16-month temperature drop of -0.774°C!

Global temperatures continued to slide in May 2008. Meteorologist Anthony Watts details the cooling temperatures in a report titled “Global Temperature Dives in May.” The new global temperature data reveals a whopping three quarters of a degree Celsius drop in temperatures since January 2007. Watts reported late yesterday that the cooling is “equal in magnitude to the generally agreed upon ‘global warming signal’ of the last 100 years.”

“But even more impressive is the change since the last big peak in global temperature in January 2007 at 0.594°C, giving a 16 month change in temperature of -0.774°C which is equal in magnitude to the generally agreed upon ‘global warming signal’ of the last 100 years,” he added."

1. "Whopping" is not an adjective real scientists are particularly fond of.
It is, however, a favorite of propagandists of all stripes.

2. Inhofe--
My favorite source of objective, unbiased propaganda.

3. We are better off waiting
Inhofe is representative of a dwindling minority that is set to shrink to irrelevance in the next election. We are better off waiting until next year and then implementing a piece of legislation that gets it right.

4. Interesting read, if you can stomach it

“Consensus is the process of abandoning all beliefs, principles, values and policies in search of something in which no one believes, but to which no one objects; the process of avoiding the very issues that have to be solved, merely because you cannot (otherwise) get agreement on the way ahead”.
