Hostile Climate

Vaclav Klaus is president of the Czech Republic. He is also an economist and a man who spent most of his life in a country ruled by communist dictatorship. He gave an important speech recently in Washington that did not receive much attention, though it was delivered at the National Press Club.
He believes freedom is more endangered than the environment -- and blames extreme views about climate change.
Klaus is unconvinced that global warming is as dangerous to mankind as today's common wisdom insists it is. He is even more convinced that it is essential to conduct a reasoned and rational debate about climate change and the potential costs to our environment -- and to our economy and our liberty.
