Australian Lagging On Clean Energy Development - Ranked At #14, Behind China, India, US - The Age
While both major political parties are on the hustings trumpeting their green credentials ahead of this month's federal election, a new report shows that Australia is still lagging behind many other countries in attracting investment in renewable energy.

Auditing firm Ernst & Young's Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Indices shows that Australia's ability to attract investment in the sector was unchanged for the third quarter of 2007 compared with the previous quarter.

Australia retained its fourteenth position behind countries such as the US, India, China and the UK.
