Great show this morning on CBS's Sunday Morning about solar homes.
The solar decathalon was held in DC. There were 20 or so finalists selected from colleges around the world. All homes had to be totally powered by solar and provide refridges, TV, hot water, etc. The winner's were from Germany. Very cool stuff except the half million price tag on most of them. Now if we can get the price down.

6. Depends. I just saw my daughter's 700 square foot rental in a nondescript
city in Northern California about a half hour away from where she's going to grad school. It's worth more than $700,000.

3. Too bad they didn't put a real reporter on it, the subject was not
approached in a meaningful manner. There was so much
more that could have been said and done with that story.

5. First of all, there are no real reporters anymore.
There's just fluff.

Secondly, real reporters interested in the environment would be covering something other than toys.

4. It would be great if/when solar power becomes more efficient and affordable.
Then we can tell the oil sheiks in the arab world to kiss our butts, since they don't have anything else we need.
