University Of Bremen AMSR Update - 16 September - Thinning Continues On Margins
There's a fair-sized ice-free area north of 85 running (roughly) from 150 to 165, and I haven't seen anything that large ice-free north of 85 so far this season. The Taymyr Spur is still pretty solid, but likewise continuing to thin on the side facing the Bering Strait.

The umbilicus running down to Svalbard seems to have thinned also, but ice formation continues to grow slosly on the northeast coast of Greenland.
