Shoppers fed up with higher grocery bills
Meat and dairy products have spiked the most, but processed foods have gotten more expensive because of the corn they contain. Some fruits, vegetables and frozen juices cost more because of bad weather in the growing regions.

(...)

She splurged last week and bought a fresh pineapple for $2.49 only because she promised to provide the fruit tray for a relative's birthday party.

She is just glad she doesn't have a house full of kids anymore, because a gallon of milk costs more than a gallon of gas.

"It's nearly $5 now," she said. "Who would have thought? I don't know how families can afford that."

1. Hey, but that's OK, right? The oil company execs have to maintain their lifestyles.
The wife needs to have the estate in Greenwich, Connecticut redone, don't you know...it's been a couple of years, and they simply can't have the Easter party there again this year with the same old stuff they had 2 years ago!

Now that I've put it in perspective, the higher grocery bills really aren't all that bad, are they?

:sarcasm:

2. rent a tiller, turn your backyard into a vegetable garden -
buy a gun....That's my advice for the last three years.

And I hate guns! but the day is rapidly approaching when you will need one.
