This is evidently the 4th-hottest June on record. Note that we can see some of those "WTF" temperature anomalies down in Antarctica:

Anyone ever hear an estimate of how much CO2 and Methane will be released when the permafrost melts?

lots of lovely methane being released as we speak ...

We're definitely bound for +2 degrees and, given that there's precious
little effort being expended at the global level, no sign of stopping there.
