If you think things are bad...this will really break your heart
Edited on Tue Nov-09-10 11:53 AM by Crazy Dave
I saw a former boss's trophy wife this morning the gas station and we said hi to each other. She said that it's still very slow at their office and because her husband has had to lay off almost all of his employees....she now has to go in from 10am - 4pm and answer the telephone and she hates it.

I just wanted to grab her and give her a big hug and tell her that everything was going to be ok. In a couple more years hopefully she'll be able to get her nails done and tan all day long again :sarcasm:

1. I'm surprised she stayed with him
being a trophy wife and all.

When my former boss lost his job, his trophy wife split.

4. Ever see a trophy wife at 50?
Sagging assets, leathery skin from the tanning booths, no longer able to stir the juices of predatory males, and chained to some 75 year-old, semi-senile lecher who is indulging fantasies about a 20-something bimbo in the typing pool.

3. I weep for those on the lower rungs of the wealthy class.
Nothing in life has prepared them for the hardships they may have to endure in the near future. Cutting back on servants, leasing some of the vacation properties, maybe even having to opt for some of the lesser vintages for dinner wines.

Fortunately for my peace of mind, I know that the truly rich are continuing to prosper through these challenging times, as of course is only fitting for people of their exalted station.

5. It was just a couple of days ago....
But I can't remember if I read or saw on TV where some wives are having to wear the same $2000 plus evening dress more than once to different events. Probably hoping that nobody will notice I'm sure.

9. As I sit here
barefoot, in my walmart sweatpants and J.C.Penney sweatshirt(my retirement wardrobe), tears are streaming down my face in sympathy for this poor dear.

10. LOL!
My wife knows a lot more about women's clothes than I do and she buys all her evening dresses at thrift stores. A commercial came on for one of those stupid reality fashion shows and she told me, "You know what those fancy shops do? They have a bunch of fancy dressed snots serve you wine and cheese, show you some butt-ugly dresses (she just said ugly), you try on the one you want, they measure you up and send it to the back where some poor foreign woman does the alterations for $10 - $20 per dress"
