The Economic Elite Have Engineered an Extraordinary Coup
Edited on Mon Feb-15-10 10:26 AM by Joanne98
The economic elite have robbed us all. The amount of suffering in the United States of America is literally a crime against humanity.

February 15, 2010

"The American oligarchy spares no pains in promoting the belief that it does not exist, but the success of its disappearing act depends on equally strenuous efforts on the part of an American public anxious to believe in egalitarian fictions and unwilling to see what is hidden in plain sight." -- Michael Lind, To Have and to Have Not

We all have very strong differences of opinion on many issues. However, like our founding fathers before us, we must put aside our differences and unite to fight a common enemy.

It has now become evident to a critical mass that the Republican and Democratic parties, along with all three branches of our government, have been bought off by a well-organized Economic Elite who are tactically destroying our way of life. The harsh truth is that 99 percent of the U.S. population no longer has political representation. The U.S. economy, government and tax system is now blatantly rigged against us.

Current statistical societal indicators clearly demonstrate that a strategic attack has been launched and an analysis of current governmental policies prove that conditions for 99 percent of Americans will continue to deteriorate. The Economic Elite have engineered a financial coup and have brought war to our doorstep...and make no mistake, they have launched a war to eliminate the U.S. middle class.

The conservatives have NEVER believed in a middle class. They believe the middle class is an artificial construct. Because they are Christian fundamentalists they believe in NATURAL LAW. That NATURAL LAW applies to the economy too. It's UNNATURAL TO HAVE A MIDDLE CLASS so saz the RIGHT-WING!

3. The trick is convincing the RW that corporate interests-not the "gov' mint" alone
are behind their suffering. They worship the elite; they believe that one day they'll become one of them (though the lottery or some other miracle), they fear joblessness without the "generosity" of the elite, they see corporations as the givers of all good things and the government as an evil entity that opposes the generous corporations-instead of what it should have been (our representation) or what it's now become; a tool of the wealthy corporate elite. As long as this misguided view of the corporate/ government relationship persists among low information and fox news voters "uniting" will be a tough sell-and that's what the elite are counting on.

6. Gobless 'mericuh for clas warfare you can trust!
It really IS class warfare. It has infuriated me for decades when I see even "Democrats" claim that class warfare is a paranoid conspiracy theory. I stopped subscribing to my local paper due to that crap. Now they're out of business and I think they deserve it.

Be careful what you ask for corporatists, you just might get it!
