Boozing to the top
London - Workers who enjoy a drink with their colleagues after work earn more than their teetotal colleagues, according to a study by a Scottish university published on Monday.

The team of economists from Stirling University looked at 17 000 people aged 45 and compared their career success with their drinking habits.

They concluded that having a drink with colleagues built trust and camaraderie and helped workers network their way to the top.

"The survey shows you don't want to be a teetotaller. People who drink moderately do seem to earn more," economist David Bell said.

3. The same thing can happen....
if you have a smoking boss. I once worked with a group
where the boss smoked and employees who took smoking
breaks outside with the boss got promoted and were
treated better than those who did not smoke and stayed
indoors. It was that tar leaf bonding that did it!
