Poor woman...I feel so badly for her.

Maybe we should take Michael Moore's suggestion and do a collection to help her.
After all, she and hubby "spent more than $250,000 to increase their ownership of a luxury spa in Napa Valley."

I know they must be hurting. So sad.

more details on her and other poor wretched Congress member's losses.

5. I read that Ted Kennedy's
holdings went from a $48 million value to a $15 million value. That's a hit.

Pelosi seems to bring out the worst sometimes. I wish it weren't so, especially here at DU, but .........................

6. Oh - I'm among the first to bitch about Pelosi. But there's a specific motivation when I do it...
Was just wondering what it was in this case, for the OPer.

2. Boner's not doing too badly, looks like,
but I saw another article yesterday that mentioned Norm Coleman still owing approximately $40,000 in student loans!

Can you believe that?

4. Born in 1949 ........
On August 17, he's gonna turn 60!!!!

He got his law degree in 1976, same year I did. I had a job and a husband and we paid my expenses, so I owe no one anything.

Thirty-three years out of law school, and he still owes his student loans? Forty grand worth?

If you don't have it together enough to pay off your college loans by the time you're SIXTY YEARS OLD, you have no right trying to get a seat in the Senate.

Or on a bus.

Or anywhere...................

7. A friend lost 1/3 of her life savings in AIG last month...
Age 90, the remainder of her life savings were $3000. She called to take it out at the end of February after losing a lot of it and was told everything was going to be good because of the TARP money.
