Mass layoffs set record in January

WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- There were more mass layoffs in January in the United States than in any previous January for the nine-years that such records have been kept.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' said both the number of mass layoff actions nationally and the number of unemployment compensation claims filed as a result were higher last month than in the same month a year earlier, the Kansas City Star reported Thursday.

Hmmm...me thinks that the WH is not telling the truth. You don't
say?!

1. I have been arguing with freep and fundie types that insist
that everything is grand and that there is no problemo at all.

No matter what you show then, for content, they just fall back on their memes and RNC talking points.

There are, for whatever reason, kuckle-draggers that will vote form chimpy no matter what. the Country could be burning down around them, and they would still find a way to blame Bill Clinton's dick.

Will blow the housing bubble.

Did you notice housing inventories were UP, along with internal holdings of debt at Fannie and Freddie?

Prices on houses up ten percent in a year, and no jobs????
