More Competition, More Choice?
Call me skeptical, but when multiple companies go together to start a PR campaign designed to convince the consumer that they'd be better off without all the government controls, I tend to wonder what's in it for them. Has anyone else been paying attention to these ads?

Unfortunately, outdated regulations are hindering the choices and services available to consumers in this new communications marketplace.

Allowing companies to compete freely, according to the same rules, would speed needed investment and deliver more choices, services and opportunities to communities across the country. It is time for a market-driven communications policy that delivers the full promise of a free and competitive communications marketplace, one that can spark powerful new cycles of American investment, innovation, job creation and economic growth.
