4. Potter committed crimes and got away with them!
This has been observed since the movie clawed its way into America's hearts. Potter stole from George Bailey to force him into banruptcy. Only Saturday Night Live - God, why did it have to be them? - provided the proper conclusion to the movie, by dragging Potter out of his wheelchair and beating the crap out of him, while singing "Auld Lang Syne."

That's something that Democrats don't have the courage to do, in the case of THEIR various Mr. Potter's. "Peaceful protests," my ass.

5. Actually after the Garn-St. Germaine Act, George's son invested in shopping malls and offices
instead of home mortgages. Those shopping malls went bankrupt, and George's bank was taken over during the S&L crisis, and sold to WaMu.
