1. Which one?
There is probably more than one. I know about the "Scorecard of Evil" at the Wage Slave Journal, and there is also "Caught on Film" which is by some of the Democrats in congress. There is a Bush lies weblog (which recently changed it's url--the correct url is the one on our links page at the Peace Pretzel.

Perhaps this is a good time to mention the Weapons of Mass Instruction project we have started at the Peace Pretzel. If you go to http://protest.bmgbiz.net and scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is a link for Weapons of Mass Instruction. That will take you to a blog where we are posting the resources as people send them to us. Both of the resources I mentioned above are in there.

7. Lies about the war
Edited on Fri Jul-25-03 04:15 PM by rosey_vomisa
Q: When the president said to the nation that the mission was to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons program; when the president said that Saddam must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons; when the president said we've got to act now and we can't allow Iraq to be free to retain and begin to rebuild its chemical, biological and nuclear weapons programs in months and not years - When the president said all that to the American people, was the president lying?

A: There's no evidence to support what the president has said. Now, whether - lying means that you knew it wasn't true and you said it anyway. Clearly the president said that Saddam Hussein was involved in al-Qaeda. The president said there was a connection between Saddam Hussein and 9/11. The president said they had weapons of mass destruction. And the president said the United States of America was in imminent danger. There's no evidence supporting any of that.

--Rep. Charlie Rangel

I'm sorry to be the fly in the ointment here, but I think there is a problem with consistency. The above statements were made by President Clinton in 1998 to justify his bombing of Iraq. Rangel was unaware of this when he made his answer, and assumed that Bush made those comments. But, back in 1998 neither Rangel nor his colleagues made one peep about this.

Whether or not a person agrees with what Bush has said and done, shouldn't there be consistency? I would've preferred to see my fellow Democrats lambasting Clinton for those statements and his bombing attack, but it never happened. Why not?

I think this sort of thing erodes our credibility.

4. Try the "bush lies" blog
I have various lists posted there amongst articles & editorials. I have not seen a comprehensive list of "the works", though.
