Is the GOP dead yet?

I mean really...now that the HCR by the looks of it is done. What is left for the party of NO that cannot even condemn the fact that their supporters as in the"Teabaggers" called fellow Congressmen "Niggers & Faggots" and spat on them? What do we have left to discuss with these people? They are off the reservation!

The discourse from the Republican side has degraded to the lowest of the low. Now they are down to insults and violence. How many Americans are attracted to support that kind of a political party? Nothing close to what it takes to be a national party...

So, is the GOP dead or are they on their last legs?

to fail to continue the fight against them. They are cornered, and their claws are out. We must continue to keep them in that corner and work to replace as many of them as possible with Democrats who will continue the slow, but steady progressive goals we all share.

8. Hypocrisy Oaths

Senator John McCain claims that that GOP will not support obama for the rest of the year. Ah yeah, they never supported him in the first place! Not to mention Hurricane Katrina was handled terribly by republicans. If that's the case then i'm surprised that bush appointed condi rice as a secretary of state in his administration. I thought he didn't like black people, WOW! Then I hear that GOP want the congress, senate, and the white house back. I got a better special, they can get all that at Applebees, 3 for $15 plus a coke, and 25 lapdances! at least it's cheaper than the IRS!

9. GOP not dead yet.

Short term, the GOP will make a comeback. They will hand the Democrats a major defeat.

Long term the demographic does not favor the Republicans. The fastest growing minority are Hispanics. Some say that by 2050, half of the country will be Hispanic. Voting patterns show that Hispanics vote Democrat. And, the GOP does nothing to try to win the minority vote.

So to answer your question, this next few elections will be the GOP's last hurrah.

10. I wish so badly

While I don't mean to over-generalize, how can anyone want to swing back to the Republicans immediately after the failure of Bush/Cheney/Delay/Hastert? I understand being frustrated with the Democratic Party, particularly Pelosi and Reid, but it's not like the Repubs are suddenly imbuing their direction with pragmatic restraint. The fact that Palin, Huckabee, Romney, and Gingrich are the most rumored candidates for 2012 speaks volumes for their, er, credibility. Obama needs a good chance to undo the damage and it will take lots of time...handing the keys over to the party whose leadership got us here wouldn't help at all.
