5. That's it EXACTLY. I heard a former Bush speechwriter on NPR today,
and his take was that Romney would be a great president (:puke:) but that McCain has the more appealing campaign (:puke:)

The host mentioned that he (speechwriter) had supported Giuliani, and what did he think of his endorsement of McCain?

The guy sounded pissed and said that McCain doesn't represent the true Republican party. "Why not?" His view on immigration, for example. McCain is TOTALLY 180 from the "real" Republican stance on the issue....

and on.

That's gonna be a biggie for those "Christians".

10. From a conservative
Again, the hypocrisy that pours from the left is evident as always. You call the republicans hate mongering, evil, or "creepy". Yet, you show no knowledge what so ever of the party. As a conservative I can say that my first choice wasn't McCain. It was mostly that he flip flops on the issues. His anti-torture stance is something to be concerned with (even though his recent vote on the use of water-boarding in the C.I.A.), which by the way doesn't conflict with his stance on the Military use of torture. The C.I.A. is a separate entity and should have the hands freed. It is my belief that the military should as well. Before I get to my explanation I would like you all to ask your selves what exactly is torture..........It can be define as severe mental distress, inflicted physical pain, a distortion of truth. My question within the word is that I feel that torture that leads to permanent injury should be banned, and our troops do nothing of the like. Unless you want to call nightmares of water-boarding permanent injury. As I see it, torture has been around for millennia, and in many ways we are not above societies and ethics of yore, just more technologically advanced. So why the call to end it, if it saves lives to torture and get information is it immoral? This is all said without even comparing it to the beheadings of our troops and civilians in Iraq. The forced consumption of oil by or troops and means of torture. I say how dare anyone here say shame on the U.S.A. for water-boarding and blasting heavy metal; yet ignore what goes on in other countries. War is a savage thing, but it is inevitable, wishing it away will never make it so...just prolong it.

7. Becuase he can Talk to Liberals and Democrats
And is Moderate in some positions.

The only thing Wignuts hate more than Liberlas is a conservative that is moderate on a "few" issues.

That's why ANAL cyst Limbaugh can't stand him.

THE right wing hates being civil human beings. This is why they hate Mcain

12. The ultra right wing wants McCain to voice hatred at the the groups they hate
Edited on Sat Feb-23-08 06:23 PM by Angry Mollusk
McCain is hated by the extreme right wing because he is not as far right wing as they are-(But he his very much a right winger) McCain is a war monger who is out of touch with the times, and still thinks the KGB controlls Russia- but that's not good enough for the extreme right- I think they want him to declare his intention to push for ammendments to the Constitution banning gay marriage and abortion.
Plus bear in mind what defines the ultra right wing is HATE, namly their hatred of gays, hatred of immigrants, hatred of Latinos, hatred of muslims, hatred of science, hatred of Europe, hatred of academia, hatred of lioberals, hatred of anyone who doesn't blindly worship Jesus, etc....I think they want him to spew more hate at these different groups.
When the extreme right wingers talk, its usually about the different groupos of people they hate, or the different groups of people they think should be killed. They want McCain to talk the same way.

13. Because...
He's not:

1. Fiscally conservative enough for the Goldwater and Libertarian types.
2. Socially conservative enough for the theocratic nuts we call evangelicals
